American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She started her acting career with supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). She was later a reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt and had a supporting role in the series that ran for a short time The Ex List. She played Kaylee an infant Moira on the opening season of FX's American Horror Story. She played Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She has voiced various characters in the show Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019she has been appearing as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut, until 10 years old when she and her mother moved to California. lived for a year before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to be interested in singing, acting and photography when she was 13. Breckenridge relocated to Los Angeles with the help from her mother around the age of 15.
